Sebastian Priaulx – Walero Ambassador

“I have really noticed the benefits of the Walero flame-retardant underwear. The temperature control for these hot conditions has really helped me to keep my concentration; they’re unbelievably comfy and great at regulating my temperature.”

Sebastian Priaulx – British F4 Championship

At the age of 15 years old, Sebastian Priaulx was already a multiple kart championship winner in both the Cadet, Mini Max and Junior Max classes. He is a lap record holder and a Ginetta Scholarship finalist beating 70 of the best international kart drivers in the world in the process.

Sebastian started racing at the age of 8 years old and showed immediate speed and ability, winning races in his first season. He is the son of triple world touring champion, Andy Priaulx, and has grown up on the racing circuit from a very early age giving him that extra bit of experience of the sport.

In 2016 and 2017, Sebastian entered the Ginetta Junior Championship with JHR Racing, a team who have previously won the Championship. The stage was set for Sebastian to showcase his racing ability in one of the highest profile and most televised racing package in Europe, fully supported by ITV and the MSA British Touring Car Championship.

His inaugural season brought multiple front running performances culminating in Seb winning the Ginetta Junior Winter series at Brands Hatch. The Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK’s Longest running junior series, offering the first step on the motorsport ladder for 14-17 year old racing drivers. Using the multi-disciplined Ginetta G40, it gives aspiring teenage drivers the experience of a lifetime, kick-starting their journey towards racing stardom.

The motorsport world is immersed with racing stars who started their careers here at Ginetta. The Ginetta Junior hall of fame include drivers such as Charlie Robertson (European Le Mans Series LMP3 Champion 2015), Jamie Chadwick (British GT4 Champion 2015) and Will Palmer (BRDC Formula 4 Champion 2015) as well as racing stalwarts Lando Norris, Dino Zamparelli, Seb Morris and Tom Ingram claiming victories in 2015, to name but a few.

After an impressive start to his racing career, Sebastian has now stepped up into the British Formula 4 Championship for the 2018 season. A new venture for Sebastian going into open wheel racing but a step in the right direction to become the established racing driver he would like to be. Sebastian will be racing with Team Arden and will be wearing our Walero ‘Keep your Cool’ regulating base layers to give him the edge!
