Academy Motorsport are a successful motor racing team who are official partners of Aston Martin Racing. As well as being a successful race team, Academy offer much more. Additionally, Academy specialise in car sales and sourcing, corporate and private track-days, and race tuition. The team’s results speak for themselves, with Ginetta G20 and Ginetta Junior Championship titles to their name, as well as a strong placing in the European GT4 Series. In 2018, the team finished 4th overall in the drivers championship in the GT4 securing a few podium finishes. Furthermore, the team had a car entry for the European GT4 Series, whereby owner and founder of Walero, Fiona James, was at the seat of one of them.
Heading into 2019, Academy Motorsport will be fielding yet another two car entries for the British GT4 Championship. Although, this year around there is a slight difference. A slight upgrade. Academy have added two new Aston Martin Vantage GT4’s to their fleet. As part of their continued relationship with Aston Martin Racing, the team plan to build on their current stance in both the British GT Championship and GT4 European Series. This however, is not the only upgrade Academy Motorsport will be experiencing. As of 2019, Walero have become an official partner with Academy agreeing to provide the whole team with Walero’s temperature regulating base-layers. The team will now be able to “#GetTheEdge” allowing the drivers and pit crews to maintain full concentration on optimal performance.
