James Black – Britcar Season Finale

James Black and teammate Jack Meakin rounded out their impressive Britcar Endurance Campaign with a strong showing in a rain impacted finale at Donington Park at the end of October!

The Britcar season finale at Donington Park beckoned for James Black and teammate Jack Meakin as the pair looked to continue their fine season form into the sharp end of the season. With a torrential downpour on the day of qualifying, James qualified the car in P2 in class behind the safety car and with the forecast looking clear for Sunday’s finale, the pair were eager to hit the track.

Sunday’s race got off to a brilliant start with an intense battle developing for P1 in class and this continued on till the end of James’s first stint. Although misfortune occurred when the pair pitted just before an untimely safety car, a calm and composed drive from Jack Meakin saw the pair rise up through the field and take the chequered flag to close out another successful season for the team.

With this result, the pair managed P2 in class and eighth overall in the Championship standings, capping off a year of ups and downs, but one to remember and build upon for 2023.

“2022 has been a blast, through the highs and lows I always tried to be positive and keep moving forward. The results sheets never tell the true story and I think myself and Jack both agree, we have some unfinished business! Yet it couldn’t been done without my awesome sponsors that have stuck by me throughout 2022!

“We will be back, Stronger, Faster, Hungrier.”
