Tom Wood – Ending the season on a high
Hockenheim was the setting for another stellar performance from Tom Wood in the finale of the ADAC GT4 Championship as he looked to end his European Campaign on another high!
This season has certainly been one of the busiest for Walero athlete Tom Wood as he embarked on a new adventure with Team Derby Motorsport and a European campaign with Racing One in ADAC GT4.
With the Radical season ending in September after an incredible debut year, Tom’s sights were firmly set on ending the year with a flourish in ADAC GT4. The season had been full of highs and lows for Tom and the Racing One team, but consistent pace and strong showings on multiple occasions had given Tom the confidence he needed moving into the final round at Hockenheim.
The weekend got off to a flying start with Tom securing P2 in qualifying after a blistering time towards the end of the session! With Sunday’s race, Tom converted his strong pace into a well deserved P3 finish after a valiant battle from teammate Will Tregurtha secured the pair the team’s third podium of the year and P3 in the Championship.
